Review of Drugstore Cowboy (1989) by Adam G — 16 Nov 2008
A fine-looking, excellently-acted, well-written tragicomedy that manages to successfully be funny, uplifting and sad at the same times, and while Van Sant is occasionally guilty of going over-the-top with his camerawork and design, trying too hard to make the film 'quirky' and 'alternative', there's no denying this is a very good film.
