Gus Van Sant comes through, helped by great acting from Dillion and Kelly Lynch. I couldn't take Max Perlich or James Remar seriously, but the rest of the flick was so good, it didn't bother me.
I hadn't seen this flick in years, and had never seen the whole thing through, so it was good to catch it on IFC. Check out Lois from Big Love as Matt Dillion's mother.
