Review of Dredd (2012) by Frank O — 21 Jul 2014
Sometimes a movie doesn't need to have loads of plot or intrigue to succeed. Dredd excels in its fearless simplicity with excellent ultra-violent action sequences, great acting (Lena Headey is brilliantly cold-blooded as Ma Ma) and some amazing slow-motion effects.
Oh, and the 3D is great as well, creating depth and tension that makes you question who might be hiding just around the corner.
