Review of Dreams (1990) by Paul K — 02 Jan 2009
A mixed bag of snoozers and thoughtful noodlescratchers. The vignettes I enjoyed were really powerful and thought-provoking, while the ones I did not enjoy were almost abhorrently unbearable. Still, this film is entirely worth watching if not just for the beautiful Van Gogh dream segment.
Also, the very last story shares concepts that would behoove Westerners to be exposed to (especially Americans) at a time where we might end up losing a lot of what we consider to be essentiality, but in truth, is actually comprised of a bunch of superfluous junk.
