Review of Dream Home (2010) by Mandy C — 25 Nov 2011
It's been a while since Hong Kong have produced such extremely interesting slasher movie. If you enjoy blood and more blood, you will definately enjoy this movie down to bits and pieces.
Personally, I enjoyed how Pang concern and potray Hong Kong social issues which includes how badly inflation hits Hong Kong. A decent house with nice view is almost impossible for normal working class to afford. Not to mention the pressures of life they face on day-to-day basis, materialism as well as other morale issues. And this is what sets Dream Home far apart from movie of the same genre.
I totally appreciate Josie Ho and Michelle Ye's powerful acting in the show. Personally, Michelle Ye's probably 8-10minutes appearances, which seriously I couldn't even get her name is enough to leave a huge mark in the movie.
Extremely love the movie, and would suggest most to see the uncensored version for much more intense horror and gory feel.
