Review of Dracula's Daughter (1936) by Jonathan Y — 09 Apr 2011
I know this is considered to be no excellent movie, but I have really enjoyed it and feel that it generally doesn't have enough respect from a lot of people. This movie was originally going to be directed by the once famous James Whale, who directed some great classics.
Such as "Frankenstein" (1931), "The Old Dark House" (1932), "The Invisible Man" (1933), and "Bride of Frankenstein" (1935). But because of script and censor problems, he couldn't direct it and Enrigue Tovar Avalos and George Melford ended up directing the film.
While the film turned out good, it did not get as much respect as the other classic films of the 1930s from Universal Studios. So to make "Dracula's Daughter" feel more respected, I have decided to give this film a perfect five stars out of five, and Gloria Holden, the daughter of Dracula, does great playing the vampire of the story.
