Review of Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968) by Brad D — 28 Sep 2008
The first Hammer Dracula that I ever saw is decent fun. The main drawbacks are due to a less-than-stellar script, the lack of a formidable adversary for Dracula, and maudlin direction from Freddie Francis.
Lee as Dracula is given little to do, and some of the scenes are merely tolerable when they could have been outstanding. Great demise for the Count this time around, and Veronica Carlson is certainly easy on the eyes.
