Review of Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968) by Sam T — 28 Sep 2008
Despite the fact that this film has a fairly weak plot, "Dracula Has Risen From the Grave" is a very enjoyable entry in the Hammer Dracula series and is a really wonderful watch. Christopher Lee is superb in his third outing as the famed vampire, being both elegant and refined, yet savage and cruel all at the same time.
When a priest cleanses Dracula's home, Dracula follows the priest to his village and seeks out his niece as his concubine. What helps this film along is a wonderful cast of characters - a dashing likeable hero, a sexy yet pure heroine and wonderful romps along rooftop settings.
A really decent vampire film. Better then any that have come out in this decade.
