Review of Dracula (1958) by Brad D — 27 Feb 2007
Hammer's lavish color version of Stoker's original novel followed the success of "The Curse of Frankenstein." Peter Cushing as Van Helsing and Christopher Lee as the regal Count, along with a solid supporting cast, good script, and tight direction by Terence Fisher, make this the best of the Hammer Draculas.
Cushing and Lee would not be reunited in a Dracula film until the abysmal "Dracula AD 1972." This is a classic.
