Review of Dracula (1958) by Chris M — 03 Feb 2011
Christopher Lee's Dracula is suave, commanding, and badass.
Lee truly made Dracula a villain not only to be respected, but feared. His presence is always felt, even when you know he is far away. He's not as suave as Lugosi but is far scarier.
And let's not forget Peter Cushing, the quintessential Van Helsing. Though he is not accurate to the book portrayal, Cushing brings forth a measure of energy that you would not expect. The Hero/Villain aspect of Lee and Cushing is one of the best I've seen in movies.
One of the quintessential Hammer films.
