Spencer Tracy was very impressive in the two headed character of Doctor Jekyll, the nice doctor/experimenter, trying for a cause to separate good and evil, but in turn it drives him into his deeper demons and his closed kept desires.
Ingrid Bergman also gives a performance that I would rank up high with her showing in Notorious.
