Review of Dr. Bronner's Magic Soapbox (2007) by Mike L — 14 Jan 2009
Proof that an insane genius can still live successfully in society. This documentary mostly follows Ralph, one of Dr. Bronner's sons as he meets people during the tour of his one-man show in which he talks about his father.
The overall theme is that the descendents of Dr. Bronner have built the soap that he obsessed over into a highly successful business while keeping the best (and sane) parts of his â??All Oneâ?? theology.
The documentary skips around and could have used a better point-of-view. But overall, the characters are interesting and likable, as is this movie.
