Review of Downsizing (2017) by Mark G — 01 Jan 2018
If this was advertised as the movie it is I would have given it a 3 to 3.5 star rating. It was fine don't want to see it again and wouldn't have regretted spending my money... But it is not the movie that advertised Matt Damon as a man now getting used to life in a small world having humorous adventures with hikes nding in pitchers full of vodka (spoiler never happened in the movie) the shrinking aspect has little to no effect on the movie besides some context details.
Its a movie they couldn't sell as a everimental drama so the advertised it as a comadey and sprinkled in some token jokes so you dont feel completely cheated out of your money and two hours of you're time.
Strong cast, strong idea, weak execution.
