Review of Downfall (2004) by Andri M — 03 Sep 2009
Fascinating. I find it hard to review this film in any serious manner. Hitler is a hard character to understand and even though Bruno Ganz does a fantastic job portraying the dictator, the story doesnâ??t seem to really bother to understand the fuehrer.
The film is more about the men and women surrounding the madmen in the last days of the war. A film about futility. It evokes such an odd emotion. Canâ??t really put my finger on it other than fascinating.
