Review of Down Terrace (2010) by Tony E — 05 Mar 2011
What an interesting film! This movie starts out as a bittersweet British indie drama and, through exposition, evolves into a dark, willfully absurd comedy about a gangster family and their cronies. It's kind of like a hybrid between Mike Leigh and early Guy Ritchie.
Very strong performances by a heretofore unknown cast (at least to me). Highly recommended if this description sounds appealing at all to your sensibilities.
