Review of Down in the Valley (2005) by Niam D — 07 Jul 2008
I like it a lot. I believed in the chemistry between Norton and Wood. I like how it starts off as a romantic drama, then suddenly becomes a very dark, edgy thriller(the cinematography contributes greatly to this transition). I also like it because it pays homage to taxi driver(any film that does that is well on its way to getting a thumb's up from Niam). Little rory culkin is good as well. He's good in those timid, fucked up roles.
So yeah, good film.
