Review of Down by Law (1986) by Sofia B — 13 May 2010
A completely character-driven black and white film by Jim Jarmusch portraying the three convicts Jack, Zack and Roberto's escape from Orleans Parish Prison a hot New Orleans summer.
Dark humour and cynicism - my absolute favourite. According to me, but I might be partial on the matter, Tom Waits is excellent and is really the driver of the film of the three main cast members.
Includes some really good songs by Waits as well.
