Review of Down by Law (1986) by Ben H — 28 Aug 2011
Great. Worth seeing for Benigni's performance alone. As with most of Jarmusch's films this is a poetic, art house noir and is his attempt to subvert the prison break genre(a la The Defiant Ones).
Things don't make don't always make sense in this surreal universe, though above all it is human, tender and funny.
