Review of Down by Law (1986) by Dalton N — 12 Nov 2012
"Down By Law" is a lot slower and more distant than "Stranger than Paradise". Something is lacking in the characters that makes them pop with the usual angst that Jarmusch portrays in them.
However there is a lot of good to take away from this one, it is artistically stunning and there are quite a few genuine moments where you get to know the characters well.
