Review of Down and Out in Beverly Hills (1986) by Patrick F — 11 Nov 2010
While John Hughes films may be what initially comes to mind when you say "'80s movies," DOWN AND OUT IN BEVERLY HILLS sums up the decade far better than more popular comedies have. This movie's social commentary on wealth and material possessions says more about the decade than any teen angst should.
Perhaps this is why those are still watched today and this one is all but forgotten. A shame - it's really funny.
