Review of Doubt (2009) by Cole M — 19 May 2012
Doubt. What an unforgettable experience this was. I'm still unable to justify Winslet winning the oscar over Streep. Hoffman and Streep formulate some unforgettable scenes, developing chemistry that is so torn with tension, ball point pens and manicured nails. Adams doesn't fall down where most supporting actors do: making their own performances being shadowed out by their leads. Adams is breath-taking in her depiction of a naive innocent, unable to desipher the events and idealogies around her.
Doubt is brilliantly unforgettable.
