Review of Doubt (2003) by Valerie P — 26 Jan 2012
This is a thought-provoking film set in the 60's, in which Meryl Streep plays a stern and rigid nun. She played the character very well, evoling all the appropriate angry feelings in the audience. Amy Adams was subdued as a bashful, young nun who unwittingly gets herself involved in Streep's campaign against the friendly parish priest.
It illustrates the power of gossip and believing what you want to believe, even in the face of kindness.
