Review of Double Indemnity (1973) by Morgan O — 11 Feb 2010
A lesson in how movies should be made, written and directed by 2 geniuses of their, or any, time.
Barbara Stanwyck is all fetishized glamour playing the epitome of the cinematic femmes fatale, whilst Fred MacMurray and Edward G. Robinson manage to genuinely disturb by both playing against type.
A truly great film with a wonderful twisty plot, rich with suspense and drama. Watch it if you've never seen it.
