Review of Double Indemnity (1973) by Anna B — 29 Jan 2014
Because it helped define a genre it can seem a bit... predictable, but the snappy dialogue more than makes up for it. Fred MacMurray totally owns the film, but Stanwyck's femme fatale is very good as well, if a little over the top.
It's a good ride though and the film never drags or seems flabby. Good fun, but don't expect a great deal of realism.
