Review of Doomsday (2008) by Tommy M — 11 Jan 2012

Okay I'll start this off with I enjoyed this movie and I thought it was better then most action movies for some reason. Maybe the fact of a chick that kicks ass and is good looking is the thing that sold me.

I thought the acting was good and it was kind of a mix between 28 Weeks Later and Aeon Flux. Because it had the 28 Weeks Later feel and goverment backround but with a futureristic feel. But it also had it's own originality.

I thought the story was weak but it was all there all the way up til the end that left you wondering what is she going to do, and is there going to be a doomsday 2? The acting was good and the action was good also.

However I did expect her to just kill things and get it over with but instead they kind of drag it out and make it more suspenseful which can be a good and bad. It was also like a war movie where they choose to not get in some battle and (spoiler alert) when some people die it's kind of dramatic with the whole watchful noooo!!! and then some tears but not really because there soilders.

So all in all a good movie worth seeing if you like action movies!
