Review of Donnie Darko (2001) by Andrew J — 12 May 2015
When I first saw "Donnie Darko" I was blown away. I was just sitting there for like half an hour wondering what the fuck did I just watch.
And what I watched was one hell of a movie. The script is one of the greatest ever written, the lead performance by Jake Gyllenhaal is brilliant and the soundtrack is amazing, perfectly fitting into the movie. ("Love will tear us apart", "Mad World", "The Killing Moon", "Manipulated Living").
Be sure to watch this if you haven't, it's dark, twisted, smart and certainly something you've never seen before.
