Donnie Darko is a cinematic masterpiece, this movie exceeds expectations as an indie film, and deserves the cult following it has acquired. This is one of Jake Gyllenhaal's best acting performances as he is able to play a quirky weird character yet the audience can relate to him so much, Also credit to Richard Kelly some of the camera angles, lighting he uses really makes the movie stand out.
