Review of Doghouse (2009) by Ryan C — 16 Oct 2009
The most sexist horror ever made! There are some good laughs to be had here but the movie is far from a 'new' Shaun of the Dead. The premise of a virus which only effects women often proves hilarious which is the saving grace for what would have otherwise been a poor movie.
It is unbelievably clichéd, the acting is dreadful, the special effects are like something from Peter Jackson's early works and it is unashamedly 'laddish' from the off. To be honest, it is probably more like a 5/10 movie, but there are some really funny gags that bumped it up a little for me.
Worth a watch, just don't expect much and certainly don't expect anything close to Shaun of the Dead, as I originally had been.
