I know this is a "classic" and all and the acting is good and it is entertaining, overall.
That said, I found it boring in the middle. For quite a while it just drags. And while it may be based on a true story I couldn't help but feel it was a bit over the top in terms of the acting and character portrayal.
I imagine if you saw this when it came out it was very impressive and that's surely why it has such a high rating today. But honestly, having just recently seen it for the first time, I don't think it's "all that".
