A beautiful movie for its time. The hardship of the Russian Revolution is really felt through the bitter freezing scenes the characters are caught up in. Some parts of it felt as though it didn't reach its full potential, but that's forgivable due to its 3 hour length.
Omar Sharif will be memorialized in this role.
