07-21-08: This movie was also in the 1001 movies book...I think that every movie over 3 hours is in that damn book. This is one of the best epics ever made...or supposed to be (and Citizen Cane is supposed to be the best ever made.

..blah). Gone With the Wind is a much better epic. I had trouble keeping interest throughout this one. I won't give anything away (evidently my Lars review gave too much away). This is a long movie, that is worth seeing if you consider yourself a movie buff (or even a general movie fanatic).

But if you're looking for a long movie to entertain you...I suggest Gone With the Wind or Dances With Wolves.
