Review of Doctor Zhivago (1965) by Robert G — 04 Nov 2015
Earlier I said that I was expecting greatness from David Lean's Doctor Zhivago and I have to admit that all expectations were met and even exceeded especially by the stars Julie Christie as Lara and Omar Sharif as Zhivago.
The movie is LONG but I knew this going in and was ready. The acting is amazing. Direction is nothing short of superb, and the story is great. I know it is adapted from a classic book with I have never read so I can not speak to how true the film is to the book.
But the film is wonderful and easy to see why it is a classic.
