Review of Doctor Zhivago (1965) by Michelle W — 27 Aug 2009
An epic tale of love set in the midst of a revolution.
Very slow. But yes its epic, it unabashedly puts its emphasis on political viewpoints and gives everything else a backrow seat. I thought the acting wasn't natural, and the cinematography shamefully bare.
To think about, to listen to what it has to say, that is where this film is great. To watch - it's long and boring.
