Review of Doctor Who (1996) by Mark L — 04 Sep 2007
Sadly, the American producers decided they wanted a Star Trek version of Doctor Who. Compared to the best 50 stories from the TV series, both old & new, this film is quite average, Paul McGann shines throughout though & it's a shame this is the only story we can see him in.
Terrific showing from Sylvester McCoy too, but too many unnecessary 'revelations' & too much reliance on series continuity stopped it being very good indeed.
