Review of Do the Right Thing (1997) by Viktor B — 19 Jul 2013
This film is not only one of Spike Lee's best but is one of the best films about dealing with ethnic issues in America. Few pieces of media so excellently illustrate how such strife builds and explodes.
This is a movie that fuses style with realism in ways that few ever could. While it does show some age, this is quickly overlooked as a mixture of endearing characters and masterful cinematic storytelling take hold.
This may be one of the best films ever made.
