Review of Do the Right Thing (1997) by Jeremy S — 04 Feb 2014
A disconcerting, frenetic, albeit completely necessary look at a turbulent, hot day in a neighborhood divided by race...and the "wall of fame" at a pizza shop. Spike Lee's film is stylishly out of this world, bursting with bright colors, and yet it's themes are so real and down to Earth.
Possibly the most realistic account of race relations that I have ever seen in a film.
