Review of Dixie Chicks: Shut Up and Sing (2006) by Ben G — 23 Oct 2007
While ostensibly about the Chicks hardships after Natalie Maines publicly criticized Bush right before the start of the war. The film is really about growing political consciousness, the influence and integrity of artists and how their material is generated and is an intriguing look at how the new-right will eventually swallow itself up providing they don't get us all killed in the interim.
