Review of Dirty Mary Crazy Larry (1974) by Noel V — 07 Jun 2008
Doesn't have the poetic simplicity and purity of Vanishing Point, but it ain't chopped liver either. John Hough manages to create a gracefully flowing film out of rough, crude characters and an even rougher, cruder setting; he takes the less than stellar dialogue and fashions private little moments for the actors, giving them a senes of roundedness they otherwise wouldn't have.
