Review of Dirty Mary Crazy Larry (1974) by Senor C — 04 Jan 2011
Quentin Tarantino loves this movie so much he pays homage to it in Death Proof. Personally as far as Carploitation movies go I prefer Vanishing Point. Peter Fonda is as cool as always as a race car driver who robs a grocery store so he can obtain his stock car dreams & is hunted across the country while on the run in a Dodge Charger.
Susan George is along for the ride. She's fine in role but a bit annoying (maybe it's just her teeth). The Charger is sweet ass & is one of my favorite cars. A heavy influence in the Carploitation genre but not nearly as good as some of the early seasons of The Dukes of Hazzard.
Maybe needs to be fleshed out a bit but you really came for the driving. Sorta a jip ending that tries to make tragic heroes out of leading threesome when they aren't even anti-heroes.
