Accept this film for what it is. It is not a true portrayal of either band. While it is all genuine footage events have been edited out of sequence and taken out of their original context for dramatic purposes. In this sense it is not a true documentary. While it may not be 100% factual it is never anything less than thorougly entertaining. Very funny, at times shocking, disturbing, and even sorrowful. A real rollercoaster ride.
Oh and it doesn't hurt that The Brian Jonestown Massacre are a truly great band either!
