Review of Die Hard 2 (1990) by Zachary P — 02 Mar 2013
I'm no scholar of the action movie yet, but I think that if this film had gotten a new protagonist instead of John McClane, it would have been one of those forgotten movies. Gratuitous and depressing violence and language, bad characterization, and an undisguised absurdity all hamper the film, but what truly does it in is that it just isn't fun like Die Hard was.
That's a shame, because the plot seems all right to me, and in different hands, this could have been every bit as good as the original Die Hard.
