Review of Die Hard 2 (1990) by David E — 20 Dec 2017
Even though some people think it's less than thrilling as the first film, I feel "Die Hard 2" was an excellent sequel. I enjoyed the explosions (even though the Windsor 114 explosion was horrifyingly spine chilling), most of the characters (Bruce Willis & William Sadler were outstanding as unstoppable hero John McClane vs sinister villain Colonel Stuart, respectively; hell, even Dennis Franz was stubbornly inconsiderate as Carmine Lorenzo), Renny Harlin's direction, & the plot-line. Call me picky, but I feel it could have been a tiny bit better if they showed/made Sadler's character scream as (SPOILER!) he is killed in the plane explosion at the end; nevertheless, his character dying was satisfying enough.
Overall, "Die Hard 2" was just as kick-ass as the first film - another treat for fans of action films! Still truly awesome!
And people still find this debatable, but I agree with those saying that "Die Hard 2" is a Christmas film (much like the first film).
