Review of Die Another Day (2002) by Eric P — 04 Dec 2013

First half is actually rather good, great setup, John Cleese is fantastic as Q (I wish that they had kept him in the reboot, they kept Judi Dench so why not him) but basically as soon as we get to the ice palace the movie goes to crap.

But at least it's still watchable crap, at least it as boring as View To A Kill and Moonraker but this film did kill the original franchise so it does get some more points against it as well. There's so much bad in this film, I think I know what they were going for and some elements went into Skyfall where they did them right.

And I'll admit this... I liked the Madonna song, ya it's so not the kind of song I tend to respond to and I'm not at all a Madonna fan but what can I say I like the song, it's not one of my favorites but I like it.

Oh ya and fuck the invisible car. Now on to the Craig films which I don't own but I got access to 2 of them, need to find a way to watch Quantum Of Solace to finish this re-watching of the entire series.
