Review of Diary of a Big Man (1988) by David P — 10 Aug 2012
A really great romantic comedy-a hilariously offbeat and sometimes offensive misogynistic romp. It is a truly dazzling film, considering that in one year Chow and Sally would go on to star in The Killer.
For Chow, the transition back to action (he had already starred in "A Better Tomorrow" and a number of B shoot em ups in the 70s) exhibited his versatility. Sally, however, proved herself to be best suited for this kind of role.
