Review of Diamonds Are Forever (1971) by Jack W — 20 May 2009
You definitely see the transition point in the Bond series with this film not only in the switch from Connery to Moore but in the emphasis on high budget, high production values. Connery's last film as Bond (til 83) its not his best, he def looks older and they really scramble up the story (adding a laser plot that reminds one of Dr.
Evil). Jill St. John is a nice Bond girl and of course we have Plenty O'Toole (named after her father, of course),and one of the coolest title tracks by Shirley Bassey.
