Review of Access Code (1984) by Allan C — 14 Feb 2015
I was hoping for a campy 80s style hacker movie like "Wargames" but this film ended up being more of a "Parallax View" paranoid conspiracy type of film. A badly made paranoid conspiracy type film that is.
A reporter uncovers a shadowy conspiracy to overthrow the government. Martin Landau somehow ended up in this mess. Stick with better films like the "Parallax View," "Winter Kills," "Enemy of the State" or even the insipid "Eagle Eye" (though Shia LaBeouf did scoop Edward Snowden by stating on The Tonight Show that when talking to an on-set FBI consultant that "He told me that one in five phone calls that you make are recorded and logged.
And I laughed at him and then he played back a phone conversation I'd had two years prior.").
