Review of Devil's Knot (2013) by Panta O — 18 Jul 2014
Difficult subject material. Astonishing performance by Colin Firth, who totally nails a southern accent and becomes a totally different person than we're used to seeing. Equally brave kudos to Reese Witherspoon, who appears to have gained 70 pounds for her role.
Excellent supporting cast. Again, we are seeing things we don't want to see when young children are senselessly murdered. A cautionary tale to support the need to abolish the death penalty. Someone got off scot-free while the heavy metal loving, "different" residents are pinned with the gruesome murders.
