Review of Devil's Knot (2013) by Pip D — 10 Nov 2015

A disappointing thriller. Being based on a true story, will always limit where the film makers can go with a screenplay, and I fear that this film has fallen fowl of that. Whilst Witherspoon and Firth do the best with what they have been given, I felt the script was shallow and the characters massively underdeveloped, to the point that I found myself not really caring what happened - despite the gravity of the incident and those involved.

Good performances from the actors who play the accused.
