I watched the bonus features for this movie afterwards and in it a producer says that is movie (with plans for more like them) had the goal of being in same light of The Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock.

I would definitely say that it meets that goal. It has that has that same air that something creepy is going on. While the movie is a mite predictable, it was a better movie than I was anticipating.
