Review of Detour (1992) by Jeffrey P — 18 May 2010
Low-budget noir makes the most of its resources (especially lighting) for the majority of its brief running time. You've seen most of this material before, but the leads ground it in real emotions.
The early scenes of Neal and Drake performing together have a honest warmth you rarely see in the genre.
